Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") govern the use of www.ateamtutors.ca (the "Site"). This Site is owned and operated by Rachel Corridore. This Site is a tutoring service.

By using this Site, you indicate that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them at all times. 

Session Booking

We typically require 48-hours notice for booking sessions to allow time for planning. Sessions can be booked up to 2 weeks (14 days) in advance.

Pay-Per-Hour

Full payment for pay-per-hour sessions is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment.

Prepaid 10-Hour Packages 

Payment for 10-hour packages is due in full at the time of purchase to enable session bookings. 

Scheduled Appointments

Pay-Per-Hour 

Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 12 hours prior to the scheduled session time. Sessions cannot be rescheduled 12 hours prior to the scheduled session time. In such cases, a new session will need to be booked. 

Cancellations 

Cancellation requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session time. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours prior to the scheduled session time are non-refundable. 

Prepaid 10-Hour Packages

Rescheduling 

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 12 hours prior to the scheduled session time. Sessions cannot be rescheduled 12 hours prior to the scheduled session time and will be considered a no-show. Each no-show will result in one hour deducted from the 10-hour package. 

Cancellations 

Cancellation requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session time. Each cancellation made within 24 hours of the scheduled session time, as well as no-shows, will result in one hour deducted from the 10-hour package.

Pay-Per-Hour Sessions

Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests made 12 hours prior to the scheduled session time are non-refundable. 

Cancellations 

Sessions cancelled within 24 hours prior to the scheduled session time are non-refundable. 

Prepaid 10-Hour Packages

Prepaid packages are non-refundable once purchased. If you wish to terminate your package early, any unused hours will not be refunded.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling made 12 hours prior to the scheduled session time will be deducted from the package as per the rescheduling and cancellation policy (one hour deducted). 

Cancellations 

Cancellations made within less than 24 hours of the scheduled session time, as well as no-shows, will be deducted from the package as per the rescheduling and cancellation policy (one hour deducted). 

Termination of Services by A-Team Tutors

A-Team Tutors reserves the right to terminate services if any of our policies are repeatedly violated or if behaviour disrupts the tutoring process. In such cases, any remaining hours in prepaid packages will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.

Customer-Initiated Termination

If a customer wishes to discontinue their prepaid 10-hour package, no refunds will be provided for unused hours, as packages are purchased in-full and are non-refundable.

Any requests related to refunds or termination must be submitted by email to info@ateamtutors.ca. Requests will be reviewed and addressed within 7 business days.

Group lessons are available to students from the same school/academic institution, same year level, and studying the same texts. Groups are self-formed. To register a group, please fill out our Student Intake Form for each new student.

Unfortunately, we do not offer existing groups that you can join by yourself at this time. You may reach out to us at info@ateamtutors.ca to inquire about groups looking for another member(s), however we can not guarantee we can place you in a group. A-Team Tutors do not assume responsibility for arranging groups. 

Expiration of Services

All A-Team Tutors services, including Pay-Per-Hour and Prepaid 10-Hour Packages, must be used within 365 days from date of purchase. Unused hours/services are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Unacceptable Behavior 

A-Team Tutors has a zero tolerance policy of any unacceptable behaviors including but not limited to discrimination, offensive language, violence, harassment, bullying, improper conduct, profanity, etc., towards all users and providers of our services (ie. students and staff). We reserve the right to terminate services at any point. Offenses of any kind are punishable by termination of services.

We strive to maintain stable pricing; however, please be aware that our prices are subject to change without notice. 

Price Adjustment Rights: We reserve the right to adjust prices our for tutoring services at any time and for various reasons. These reasons may include changes in operational costs, tutor availability, curriculum enhancements, or other factors that impact our ability to provide the best quality of education. 

Notification: We aim to provide advance notice of any price changes whenever possible. However, there may be instances where immediate adjustments are necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. Please review our pricing page for the most up-to-date pricing information. 

Promotions: Periodically, we may offer promotions or discounts on our tutoring services. These promotional prices are subject to specific terms and conditions and may have limited durations. Refer to the respective promotion details for accurate pricing information. 

Existing Agreements: If you have already purchased a Pay-Per-Hour session or 10-Hour Prepaid Package, the pricing terms of that agreement will remain unchanged throughout the agreed-upon duration. 

Rachel Corridore and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees from your use of the Site.

Except where prohibited by law, by using this Site you indemnify and hold harmless Rachel Corridore and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees arising out of your use of our Site or your violation of these Terms and Conditions. 

These Terms and Conditions are goverened by the laws of the Province of Ontario. 

If at any time any of the provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these Terms and Conditions. All other provisions will not be affected by the removal and the rest of these Terms and Conditions will still be considered valid.

These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to the way we operate our Site and the way we expect users to behave on our Site. We will notify users by email of changes to these Terms and Conditions or post a notice on our Site.
